How old were you when you stopped calling your parents mommy daddy etc...?

my mom actually gets mad if I call her mommy or mother jokingly, saying she's never, and will never be my mother/mommy. Just mom.

My dad has been 'Bud' since i was old enough to talk...i tried calling him 'dad' or 'daddy' a few times and it just sounds weird, my mom has always been mom.

Interesting...is "Bud" some nickname of his that other people call him or just your way of saying dad?

My father is deceased. I always called him Daddy and we all still do. We call my step-dad, Dad.

I call my Mother -- Mother -- or sometimes Mama (Southern thing).

My Grandparents:

Mother's Side
Granddaddy
Granny

Father's Side
Nanny
Paw-Paw (yes, spelled like that)

I think I was 5 or 6 when I went from mommy/daddy --> mom/dad. I remember it changed when I noticed that the kid next door (a couple years older than I was) called his parents mom & dad.

I've heard some older guys, me too sometimes, call their parents mommy/daddy.

My dad has always been dad, my mom has always been either mom or mama. Im 22 and I still occasionally call my mom "mama".

I may have said the -y versions when I was very, very young, but I don't recall saying anything other than 'mom' and 'dad'.

Umm, this is probably cultural but I still call my parents, papa and mummy ( or mom sometimes.. depends ) and so do my siblings ( who are in their late twenties )

I call my father Dad, and my mother by her first name. It started as a joke when I was little, and has just stuck all along.

My GF still calls her dad Papi and it's annoying.

Sometime in elementary school I think. We were at a local town swimming pool, and my mom suggested that I use the term "mom" instead of "mommy" as it was more socially acceptable for my age. I guess I'd just never given it much thought. She was "mommy" since I was born, so in my mind, that's just what she was called. The transition was quite simple though. I just accepted the new instruction, and my parents were "mom and dad" from then on.
