How on earth did Andriod use 29GB in 2 days?

let me preface that my Asus RT-AC68U router appears to be dying so i took my ethernet out of it and put it directly into my main desktop last friday but i know i put it back in the router by Saturday. Now on Sunday and Monday it appears I somehow used 42GB of data. 29GB from andriod which makes no sense and 15.09 GB from outlook which i uninstalled because when i would open it since last friday it would only be a blank screen. I am thinking outlook is responsible for this. I did uninstall and reinstall it late on Sunday and again it was a blank screen. But nothing makes sense. My IT department sent me a warning email that i went over my 2GB allotment but no discipline luckily.

That bites. Outlook for Android is a notorious mess unfortunately, really don't recommend it. I have to use it for work and cut off background data cause it was burning through data also, though not too that extent. Could very well have been stuck in a loop getting emails from the Exchange server.

Tmobile has unlimited data.

Though it is throttled after 5 gigs or so.

This is through my work so i am allotted 2GB which i never exceed except when i use the unlimited streaming but even then that is rare.

i wonder it it repetitively tried and failed to download an update?

ive also seen the counter bug out and say i used 100s of gigs in short periods but i never did. if you can check with your provider you can verify if its real, normally you can do it on the website)

outlook is notorious for syncing all the damn time and using a ton of data so that line at least makes sense to me

We have an app called company portal that is supposed to take control of our phones. Something changed or broke on my phone because i no longer see this app controlling anything anymore. I was forced to use a pin or password and now i can do the drawing to unlock my phone.

My money is on Outlook. I did setup a warning for 1GB and will have andriod turn off cell data at 2GB going forward so this should not happen again.
