It says 152 which is a bit lower than what other internet tests say. I had my done by a professional in elementary school to qualify for a special once a week program for gifted students. But my school refused to release the scores. I'd like to see what a real test says.
By the way, question #5 had no correct answer as far as I could tell. Unless they are using a really funky definition of "originally".
I agree 100%. I've seen some brilliant people do poorly in life. I've seen slower people do very well. I also suspect the internet tests are inflating the numbers. I'd bet that in the real test I was ~140.Originally posted by: cKGunslinger
But, IQ means very, very little in the real world. I have a good job in the software field and make good money. My little brother, who scored a "139" on the same test a few years afer I took it ended up failing out of college and now installs AC units and ductwork. But he's just as happy as I am with the way things are going. *shrug*

At least you aren't rubbing it in. I need to keep my mouth shut sometimes. But I'm willing to take public humiliation too. My alias/avatar are that way on purpose. I'd rather have my posts speak for me than try to hide behind a fancy alias/avatar.Originally posted by: FoBoT
well, overall, you are pretty smart, based on many of your posts on OT
that is why your sn is so funny

Edit: I'm an idiot. I can't read. Ignore my point on question #5.
The 3 dimensions you scored highest on combine to make you an Intuitive Investigator. Only 6 out of 1,000 people have this rare combination of abilities.
As said in the post above yours, I suspect my IQ is lower than what the test says. I cannot comment on the distribution of scores though as I have no data to base it on. I lucked out on this test though. It doesn't score spelling. If it did, the IQ would plummet. I can't spell for the life of me. I also can't remember names. I could tell you the location on the page and probably the page number within a few pages of any bit of information I ever read in any book (this ability made open book tests a piece of cake), but I couldn't tell you the name of the book or the author for any book I've ever read. IQ isn't everything you need.Originally posted by: ButterflyHugs
I call shens on this test. Not that I don't think that you are a brilliant man Dullard....but we both have the same BS line in our results:

Real test in High School was ~147. That being said, my sister was always a better student than me, yet according to my parents and my sister, I am smarter than her. Who knows... she made straight A's all till college. Then in college made I think one or two B's (pre-med BioChemstry). Then graduated Summa Cum Laude in grad school (She would have probably been valedictorian except she got incredibly sick and took the test without much preparation). That being said, she was an incredibly hard worker and would study to the point of getting sick sometimes (perfectionist).
Me on the other hand, I would sleep in class and never do homework and just do well on tests. Many times I would write my papers in highschool the day it was due an hour before. That worked pretty well up to my upper division classes in college, where I totally screwed myself and realized how messed up my GPA and work ethic were. I changed a lot of stuff after that.
IQ doens't mean squat in the real world. Work ethic and drive are much more important.
I've seen far too many good people fall down that bad path. They even brag about it on ATOT. I see gleeful posts like "I just skipped class, aced the test, and moved on to the next course". Education isn't about just getting good test scores. Education is about the experience and actually learning while in the course. If you can just skip it and get a good grade, then don't take the class. Spend your time taking classes where you don't know the information. If the class is necessary for your major, then just ask to test out of it and again spend your time in classes where you don't know the information. The end (good grade and a job) is not nearly as important as the process necessary to reach that end.Originally posted by: DaShen
