Granted, not an enormous amount compared to other presidents, but as of July last year, (assuming that the site is correct) Trump only had 10. I was pretty impressed at the amount that some presidents had.

Now, when it comes to commutations, Obama had 1715 according to this site, which is more than any US president. Granted, many of those were to reduce the sentences of drug offenders, which may very well have been ok as long as they weren't violent offenders.

So yeah, Trump better get busy.

Are there specific pardons by Obama that you consider corrupt? If so, which ones and why?

Yes though, Trump's decision to selectively wield the pardon power to reward his supporters and in the case of Manafort and Stone's likely pardons he would be using them to assist co-conspirators for their silence and/or lies in his defense. If he pardons either Manafort or Stone it will be the most corrupt use of the power in US history to the best of my knowledge. As I said I also suspect he will attempt to pardon himself if he loses as he will be in extreme danger of prosecution. He can't stop the likely state prosecutions but he could at least attempt to short-circuit or delay his federal prosecution. This would also be extraordinarily corrupt.

This is no blanket assessment. But number of pardons isn't an indicator of corruption. There are several pardons by Trump or floated as possibilities by Trump which are very controversial at minimum and importantly rendered without a process for evaluation and in some cases expressly against the advice of Trump's advisors.

For example: Arpaio, Blagojevic (commutation), D'Souza, Behenna, Conrad Black, Golsteyn, Lorance, Safavian, Gallagher (restoration of rank)

Basically I included those who either had direct ties to Trump or war criminals or those convicted of specific political malfeasance to benefit Republicans without any redeeming work for public interest post conviction.

Granted, it's common for controversial pardons (usually more about optics) to come out by Presidents as they are leaving office, however Trump has actively flouted the usual processes and concern over political bias and personal favors every other President has paid heed to in much greater fashion.

So it's not about who is wielding the pardon power. It's about how they use it. Of course, you are welcome to come discussing any malfeasance you see in Obama's pardons if comparison is desired. I'm not sure why it matters much anyway, as pointing out that someone else is corrupt too doesn't excuse your own corruption.

Yes, it is largely that simple.
