Today, a guy eating two feet away from was coughing. Since we're in a pandemic, I thought it was rude to look, and he sounded like water just went down the wrong pipe. A couple minutes later he said "sir, how are you doing?" I ignore him. He said louder "SIR, how are you doing?" I looked at him and said "good, how about yourself?" He replied "take a look at me...what the fuck do you think?"

Twenty years ago... A guy was choking on water... I asked "are you ok?" Guy: "mind your own fucking business...I don't know you."

Not comfortable with a stranger sitting 2 feet away these days. That's literally across the table or back-to-back. If he's beside you, I'd not eat in at all.
