How to actually xchange Bitcoin to $$ ?

OK, I used to mine Bitcoins, very briefly actually. Just for maybe a few weeks or so, and this was a year or so ago. Quit and never did anything else. But I apparently have 1.04560363 Bitcoins at BTC Guild.

Now, how do I get that out and into "real" money? Completely incompetent at this. Brain calcification and all......

Aye, there in lies the rub. I think the only way to do so is sell them to someone who wants them for cash.

You have to sign up with a bit coin exchange. MtGox is the biggest one. It's currently taking 10+ days for new signups though.

I use gyft. I sell stuff on etsy for bitcoins. Works for me.
