How to ask neighbor to stop mowing my lawn

Get a rototiller and til up the area and plant a garden.

Talked to him. He plays a nice asshole. "maybe it is mine" "the easement is common" (it is mine), and so forth - bunch of bullshit.

Looks like wifey will take over now. The war is near.

There's no "maybes" about it. This should all be detailed in your land survey & property deed.

Did he remove above ground stakes or the pins driven into the ground by a surveyor? I don't think the above ground stakes mean much, it's the pins in the ground that are official.


My dad had some land surveyed & his neighbor didn't like the results so he moved some staking. I'll ask my dad what became of that.

Land surveys are damn expensive, though, now I see some are using satellite images to mark your land, it is much cheaper, but no idea if that holds up in court or not.

Just as saying goes: "Fences make for good neighbors!" You can afford such a fence. Maybe you can grow barberry which grows quickly, then you establishes the boundary, so that your neighbor would stop doing that.

I don't know what that is, but it isn't surveying. If you've gotten your property marked by some joker using gis, if you paid 1¢, you paid too much.

Personally I dont see what the big deal is. Some people make love to their yards.

You could tell him you plan on planting something you know will invade his yard.

Plant a few mulberry trees.

We've got a 20 acre plot that we lease to farm. One year it sat and the neighbor kept throwing grass on part of it and mowing further and further in to try to make his yard bigger. He probably took in a good 20ft and turned it into part of his yard. I laughed my ass off when the farmer took the tiller right through it the next year. LOL
