How to burn a slipstreamed XP Pro/SP1a bootable disk

I came across a web site Boot CD that details the procedure for integrating a Windows Service pack into a Windows Network install, this is called a slipstream or slipstreaming. Doing this keeps you from running a service pack install after you did a basic Windows installation.
The site outlines the procedure for W2K but WXP is different in a few details. I did manage to make the install disk after about 5 coasters and it boots and starts to run setup but gives a"Please insert WXP Pro disk into Floppy A:" message shortly after starting the setup file loading.
I belive this error is caused by either to many or not enough of a file on the root of the CD called Win51, Win51ip and Win51ip.sp1 which is created when you slipstream SP1a with the I386 folder on the origional OS disk. The disk will work when run from Windows.
If anyone has sucessfully created one of these disk could you please relay any info on what Win 51 files need to be on the disk

You need all three - here's what I have:

WIN51 - 10 bytes, seems to be just a text file with "Windows" and maybe a newline or CR
WIN51IP - same as above
win51ip.SP1 - 2 bytes, empty

You're definitely on the right track with the problem - those files are what the install program uses to recognize the disc as a windows disc. I remember having to experiment a bit to get these working, but it was a while back and I don't remember all the details. If you want, PM me for copies.
