Question How to connect a work laptop, personal use desktop PC and two monitors ??

Hi fellows,

What is the best way to connect a work laptop, personal use desktop PC with two monitors?

I want to be able to seamlessly switch between using the work laptop and my PC without unplugging and replugging any connections!

Should I use a KVM, docking station or something else? In addition, which type? A link to the item(s) you recommend would be appreciated.

Please no cheap discount stuff only top of the line equipment!

Maybe a combination of HDMI switch (physical sharing a monitor) & software KVMs (virtually sharing keyboard/mouse) mentioned by VL?

Currently I'm not using any of these. Don't know if these support multiple monitors. So don't ask me if it works.

What the point of a KVM? Laptop has its own Screen and KBD.

If you need a Network, then depending of what you have now a Wireless Router and or a Switch would do.

I guess you only want to share one of the monitor between laptop and PC as secondary monitor?

The other one should be main monitor for the PC, right? Laptop already has its own screen.

Just look for HDMI switch that works with 4K, 144Hz on Amazon.

It is still not clear what you are planning to do.

You have Two monitors, the Laptop and the Desktop have their own Keyboard and audio, so what need to be KVM-ed.???
