This past weekend I had the grand opportunity to witness a skilled welfare mom who was working to ensure the financial future of her child.

The mother is taking the child to a specialist because the child has attention deficit disorder, and anger issues. The family doctor referred the mother to a specialist who deals with ADD.

The child is 4 years old.

The mom is working on developing a long running history of emotional issues dating from when the child was only 3 years old. The mom has been taking the child to the doctor for ADD and tantrums for several months, maybe even close to a year.

When the child turns 17 years old the mother will be able to show social security disability the child has had emotional problems, combined with AD, maybe even bi-polar,,, for most of its life so the child can not work.

Since the family is on welfare and medicaid, our tax dollars are paying for the doctors visits and mileage to go to the doctor. In other words, the government is paying the mother to take the child to the doctor.

And that ladies and gentlemen is how you play the system.

I think I can top that story:
a very distance cousin of my wife recently just "divorced" his wife and children. Since the whole family was living under the poverty level (they owned a very successful business that involved mostly cash transactions) now the wife and kids are on government support for everything from housing, food, to healthcare, etc. Basically it's one free ride.

The kicker is the wife takes the money given by the government for housing to pay for her rent to the landlord who is her "ex-husband", who rents 2 bedrooms out to his supposed x-wife and kids. Technically, they are divorced yet live together under the same roof as a family as before the divorce with all the benefits provided by the government while running a business that regularly brings in over 100 grands yearly in profit.

When I heard about it from my brother-in-law I just shook by head in disbelief and laughed at how stupid I was, working my ass off and losing my sleep worrying about misfiling a few dollars on the tax form every now and then.

Morons like these people must be reported and have their welfare cancelled. This is wrong because they steal from productive members of society. They should go to jail and be forced to pay back the amount they steal.

Who told you that?

I know a couple of young people between the ages of 18 and 19 that have never worked, and have qualified as being disabled.

One person qualified for SS disability before the age of 18.

Stay focused on the poor. Don't for a second look to the rich who designed the system of private profit and socialized risk. You must focus on the poor. Focus now.

If you were disabled before 18 you can qualify based on your parents work record.

I believe that is only correct if thier parent is on SS, SSDI, or dead.

If a parent isnt on SS, SSDI, or dead, the child doesn't get SSDI when they turn 18 unless they have their own qualifying work credits(which is minimal and is about $7200 over 3 years).

I believe the lady in the OP's story is trying to get SSI for the kid, for which she will pocket. Shes not thinking about the kids future, shes thinking how she can earn extra cash for herself.

They should just be turned into soylant green. At least then they can be useful to society.

The work requirement is waived for applicants who can prove that they became disabled at or before the age of 22, as these individuals may be allowed to collect on their parent's or parents' work credits. The parent(s) experience no loss of benefits.

I am 90% sure that she also gets a check in the meantime do to her having a "special needs child". Around here they refer to it as a crazy check.

Seriously, you are going to link to Wiki

Straight from the SSA.

The SSDI program pays benefits to adults who have a disability that began before they became 22 years old. We consider this SSDI benefit
as a “child’s” benefit because it is paid on a parent’s Social Security earnings record. For a disabled adult to become entitled to this “child” benefit, one of
his or her parents:

• Must be receiving Social Security retirement or disability benefits; or
• Must have died and have worked long enough under Social Security. These benefits also are payable to an adult who received dependents benefits on a parent’s Social Security earnings record prior to age 18, if he or she is disabled at age 18. We make the disability decision using the disability rules for adults. SSDI disabled adult “child” benefits
continue as long as the individual remains disabled. Your child does not need to have worked to get these benefits.

Correct, this is good example of how to game the system. Another variant of this is you have a mother who was never married to the father of her kid(s), who has a mailing address at her moms or aunties, and in the system lives there. As far as thes system is concerned she is a single mom living at home and doesn't even own a vehicle. Of course, she lives with her "husband" at his place, they wear wedding rings, and they are Mr. and Mrs. to everyone except the system. She of course has a ride to drive around, it's just in someone elses name.

The system can then say they have 1% or less of fraud/abuse with a straight face, and people like this can keep gaming the system. When her kids get old enough, it's passed down from generation to generation.

Only the taxpayer and those that truly need help lose...

Sadly it's not just the taxpayer that loses. People that truly are disabled and poor without other help lose too because they are seen as moochers just like the others. and they live way below poverty level barely able to afford a place to live.

So they're not reporting their cash income? That looks illegal to me. They could owe millions in back taxes by now.

Actually I believe if you turn in tax cheats you can get a certain % of the back taxes paid to you. Just some friendly advice.

well I don't think my wife would appreciate me sending one of her relatives, even a distant one, to prison over word of mouth. Also, wouldn't one need some sort of evidence or it would just be a he says she says situation?

heh then throw the truth stranger than fiction aspect into it...

and think, these are the most advanced people on the planet.. if they have the mutation that makes it past darwinism into the next stage of humanoid devolopment (remember its all about survival of the fittest when math gets involved) and.. whoops.. there the fittest for now and the forseeeable future... they are running game on the system... which is designed to run game on you... and not just that, but they are indeed, creating "wealth" from a system designed to strip wealth from the civilian (via the federal reserve fractional banking system) it's basically a lifehack!

heh friend of mine moved in with a women and her kids. He is recieving rent from the county for her living there. She also gets about 650 in food stamps + 600 in welfare. Her mother also lives with them and is also a welfare recipient. Neither the GF or her mom works. When presented with the idea of working they offer up going back to school. Reason? Free tuition + living expenses paid for by the state.

A real eye opener into how the system can be utilized by some to keep doing nothing.

Start a business, incorporate, company pays you minimum wage.

Sign up for welfare since you are making minimum wage.

Perfectly legal.

By doing that you shift the majority of your tax burden to the business, and get to draw state benefits.

Nice story OP. Tell us another...

The moms sister from the op was on SSDI before she turned 18. She claimed she was bipolar.

Another person I know got on SSDI at 17 years old. That person has a slight case of autsim.
