Because Jesus said I am the only one or something and that there would be one religion of which many will be created?

I mean, even Islam has Jesus has a prophet? Mary is mentioned in the Koran and even Isac.

If you ask me, everyone is worshiping the same damn thing, just differently. At least they don't know it. We humans fuck that part up.
What about the natives who inhabited South and North America? Ah, that's right. We exterminated most of them. I know buddhisim doesn't say anything about Mary, Jesus, etc.

What about Judaism? Jewish people don't even view Jesus as God's son.

No. Somebody else said that Jesus said that. We don't even know who that is

Back then there was no phone, computer, TV, etc. People relied on their brain for the most part and information retention was most likely quite high. So the books in the Bible were written based on all that they knew at the time. Perhaps the gospels were written by Jesus' disciples. https://carm.org/when-were-gospels-written-and-whom

Don't look for your answers from me. Do some reading and understand yourself.

This doesn't negate the fact that someone said that Jesus said something. We have no actual writings penned by Jesus.

Secondly, bullshit.

I've actually met Matt Slick in person, along with his wife and daughters. Previous to that I'd "dialed in" to his internet radio program on a few occasions. He is a shyster if there ever was one. Did you know his eldest daughter is an atheist, now?

In any case, his arguments in this regard exhibit no evidence sufficient to conclusively attribute authorship to any of the gospels, but rely entirely on Christian tradition -- the aspects of which (false though they seem to be) are not in dispute.

I'm obviously not going to change anyone's opinion. I don't care. They say science and math are the two subjects that one should learn. But I would argue science and history are the two important subjects to learn. You can learn how tribes formed from the days of Pangaea all the way to today. How social class, religion and politics was created. How science created weapons of war, selfishness, cruelty etc. When you learn all of these things you have a more understanding of why people think how they think and why the world is such a shit hole, quite frankly.

It's really funny about the OP's story. These "scientists" wanted to communicate with God, but they were able to communicate with him all along. The gift of sight, the gift of sound, the gift of touch and the gift of smell.

I see a rose in a mountain valley with the sound of a brook and this rose, although prickly smells like heaven. Truly someone created this... It just doesn't appear from nothing.

No, the rose came from the seeds of the roses before it. Did you not know that?

You live in the best period Humanity has ever lived, thanks mostly to Science. You choose just to see a few downsides though. That's real sad.

Listen Puff The Magic Dragon. All you did was look at the index. You never even clicked on any of the subforums. I have a lot of useful information there. Well, at least for people that don't know basic Windows stuff.

I ran a poll asking members if the HTML5 audio was something I should disable and I guess it didn't bother anyone. It's only loaded on the index. The JS code picks a random bit of audio from a game I used to or still play.

Anyway...

When you experience a rose, you can experience it through most of your 5 senses. (You forgot about taste btw)

How many of your senses do you use to experience God?

That's an unfair double standard. I propose we simplify the labeling system:

You talk to god you're psychotic
God talks to you you're psychotic

Well, since you are the only member, I guess that was an easy poll to count.

No no, he has loads of members and if you just had a little faith it would be obvious to you too.

Which is to say that if you believed the things he believes you would obviously believe the things he believes. It's flawless!

You know that whole bit about a prince who went out of his palace and see his people suffering and decided to give it all up to look for salvation for his people? Yeah, it was done way way way way before some of the modern "religions".

I guess when you plagiarize, you gotta add your own shits to make it interesting.

Having once been an atheist, I can honestly say coming to know Christ is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the greatest decision I ever made. My life is so much better, joyful, and successful because of it, and my only regret is the amount of time I wasted arguing logic and facts till I was blue in the face trying to reason my way out of believing in our creator.

This OP's story, however, is not true.
