how to get a pcimia cdrom drive to work when windows is not installed

i need to install windows on a notebook that has no OS on it , and has no internal cdrom drive , i have a pcimia cdrom drive , please help

use the OS's boot disk and it will have the PCMIA drivers to load you cd rom

tried using windows boot disk , no luck with cdrom drivers

copy windows onto the hard drive, easiest way would be to get a 3.5-2.5 hard drive converter.

You need to get your hands on the PCMCIA DOS CardServices drivers, or look around for a package called "Card Wizard". What model is you laptop? DOS PCMCIA CardServices is normally provided as a free download from most manufacturers. Once you have installed these drivers, you also need to make sure that you have the drivers for you CDROM as well. Don't forget to load MSCDEX.EXE.
