I'm replacing the hard drive on my mp3 player and there is just one very small phillip's head screw which I cannot remove. It is very shallow and the only driver that won't slip out immediately is a glasses screw driver, which obviously I cannot grip well enough to turn. Anyone have any tips? I am tempted to just cut the plastic around the screw and completely get passed it that way.

Try gripping the screwdriver with pliers. Or buy a set of small tipped screwdrivers.

Drill a hole in the eyeglass screw driver, then put something inside of the hole to give you T shape that makes getting torque easier?

Try wrapping tape around the handle of the screwdriver making it a little larger...it maybe easier to grip.

Jeweler's screwdrivers. Ever notice how they have a rotating top cap on the screwdriver that seems so inconvenient and silly? They're there so you can put downward pressure on the screwdriver with one hand and still easily rotate the shaft and blade with the other hand. Been able to loosen many a stubborn screw with them when all other types of miniature drivers have failed.

If it's a Nomad Jukebox Zen NX, I feel your pain. LMK if you get them off, I want to know what screwdriver set you used; mine is crap so far.

Not to sound like a smartass, but, this isn't a bad idea. I had the same problem trying to open the memory cover of a Dell 700M. Almost stripped the screws out. Then I went to MicroCenter, bought a $5 screwdriver set, and have been able to take out miniature screws ever since. Good luck!

Um, the OP is using a glasses screwdriver, which is pretty small already...
