how to get bird-poo stain off car paint

well, i was cleaning my car today and got a car wash.. but one problem. The place where there was bird dropping has left a stain on the paint. What product is good to remove this kinda of crap?

Bird droppings are highly acidic, which can eat into the clearcoat and the paint. If you don't wash it off ASAP, it can ruin your paint.

Depends upon the severity of the marking, but using an automotive claybar will bring out most bird markings. If that fails, you'll probably need a fairly aggressive scratch removal polish to cut down into the clearcoat a bit.

If you've never used a claybar, most kits will come with their own clay lubricant. If it doesn't or if you are able to find just the claybar itself, you can use any "quick detailer" spray or even water with a very small amount of soap as the lubricant. Just keep the surface you're working on wet and never never never drop the claybar, if you do throw it away.

Try a squirt of WD40. It's an outstanding cleaner. Better for greasy hands, than that stuff mechanics use. It's the best thing for removing bumper stickers. Great for all kinds of things.

This is why you should always triple wax your car in case sh!t like this happens. And always kill any birds in sighting to lower the possibility of the little fvckers from doing the deed again.

I never had and birds poop on my car when I lived back at home. My parent's cat would kill them all. :thumbsup:

..ya. seems to etch a impact crater into the surface. your car can end up looking like the moon.
