how to get cheap vacation packages?!

Is it possible to go somewhere exotic for 2, on a 1000$ budget?

I want to go sometime in april...where can I pick up all inclusive hotel deals + airline ?

I want to go to another exotic country with the GF...but I only have 1000$ any ideas?! up to 8 days

I have Ireland booked in March for $600 roundtrip.

But the whole vacation is going to be more than 1000. I think I made out at about 1000 for airfare + lodging+ car rental. Now I just need to find someone to pay for drink and drink.

Kentucky has some very beautiful nature that you could see and rent a nice cabin in for under $1000

yes, and I want it hot hot, sick of the shiesty weather here in Minnesota!

If I dont, I will be forced to buy myself a snowmobile and the GF will kill me if I do! haha

$1K could cover airline tickets alone for 2 if you don't fly that far away. i doubt you could really go to an island for $1K for 2 which covers airfare + hotel.

I've seen all inclusive vacations down to Mexico (Cozumel) for about 1200 for a family of 4 for 5 days...a couple here and there to Germany, Europe, for 3 days for about 600. I know this is more than your stated $1000, but it's close...

Best bet is probably the Caribbean, as it's closer (less flight time). Did you consider a cruise?

Airfare is the deal killer here - try to find off-hour flights, or take a stop or two, to keep the cost down. If you call up the airlines directly and act very nice, you might get a break from the people in charge of charging you for your tickets! Or take a local travel agent out to lunch/dinner - travel agents have good connections....one of our biz associates was able to get us a $400 hotel room for $98....

Expedia has some good package deals as well, but again, the cost of flying from Minnesota will add considerably to the advertised prices.

How "exotic" are we talking here? If you're referring to the Caribbean, that's not very exotic. "Exotic" is going to cost you easily in the thousands. Caribbean could be had for less than 1000 all-inclusive. Check out www.applevacations.com. My ex-gf and I went to Dominican Republic for about $500 each all-inclusive. I didn't expect much but was surprised when I arrived. The food was so-so... certain meals of the day were better than others. But you can't complain about a 7 night getaway in DR for that price!

ive also been looking for a cheap places for 2 and i have found several places.

ive checked HERE and there are lots of places for 1500$ and less for 2 ppl all included. (in the last minute section)

You might want to check other last minute sites.

As mentioned above, your local travel agent might have some good resources for what you're looking for, as compared to spending hours searching the web. That's what they get paid for...to find the package you want, from YOUR local area...
