Stepped in a gigantic gum wad today and accidentally dragged it into my 1 month old car... Its everywhere now on the mat, any hope at getting it off?
(Not kidding, its at least 5-6" long, by 1-2" wide.....)

Use a product called Goo-gone. Works wonders.

Wow. The only reason I clicked on this topic was because I misread gum and was like "OMGWTFBBQ THEY DIDN'T CENSOR THAT WORD?!" and to see how the fvck you managed to get jizz on your car mats.

No problem. Try cutting some of it off with scissors or a knife before freezing it.

DONT USE GOO GONE ON A BRAND NEW CAR! lol it will wear away some of the new "fuzz" on your mats and will leave a mark...
freeze it off or go mix up a solution of rubbing alchohol and some carpet cleaner, i used it to get gum and stuck lollypops/candy off of carpets all the time when i used to detail back in HS..

Citrus-oil based cleaner was used for cleaning tar, etc. out of carpet probably long before the brand "goo-gone" came about - certainly before it became popular. It will certainly stain latex based paint depending on the substrate and type of paint, but I've never seen it peel paint. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Goof-Off?
