Hi guys!!

I recently bought a used monitor off someone and there are some scratches on the monitor itself. Does anyone know how to get rid of them or like what kind of polish to use to smooth out the scratches? Any help will be greatly appreciated!! THANKS!

1. You can buy CD-Scratch remover kit from a Staples store or just online. It comes with some kinds of wipes and/or a rubbing compound which will get rid of small scratches, and maybe even large and tiny ones.

2. You can go to a jewelry store and buy some expensive rubbing compound and some high-quality wipes, and you will most likely get rid of all your scratches.

This *might* help:
Go to the Container Store and buy some Novus 1,2 and 3. Use them following the directions. Be careful!@!@ with the Novus #3 (its for heavy scratches). You might want to try this on a junk monitor or something like that.

Harley owners use this on their paint and chrome and I use it on my pinball machines' playfields.

Good luck and don't blame me if it gets worse

For a scratch to be really noticable, it's probably a deep scratch. Be careful, some monitors have a anti-glare finish. Even alcohol or ammonia is not recommended for cleaning. I've tried removing scratches from a TV screen with no luck. I would also be interested in any suggestions for scratch removal
from glass.

There is a store here (in Dallas) that is called The Container Store... they sell, well, containers (and other expensive foofey crap). The only reason I go in there is for the Novus (since the Harley dealerships rape you for it).

Make sense?

Just go to a Harley store and buy it, I have it for my harley and use it on my winsheild, I do beleive it's for plastic though it may work on a monitor. Read whats in it before you do something like that.
It does take out scratches in the Plexiglass winshied though, but it might also take the anti glare coating off.
