Correlizer has two main WU types---BioMedical Genome Correlations and Correlizer Beta Applications.

On my 1100T the difference in production time is about 3 minutes---14:30 vs 11:30.

To get the Beta WUs:

Go to your account on Correlizer
Select Correlizer preferences
Select Edit preferences
Check only the Beta applications
Check accept work from other applications

This will ensure that you get the faster WUs. But if none are available, you will still get work.

I made this change, thanks! I do notice that the BioMedical Genome Correlations give you slightly more credit but I guess it's not enough to make up for so much of a time difference!

Thanks for the info. On my Q9400 I went from 28:20 to 22:20, but on my A64 3400+ i went from 28:20 to 44:30. Set the A64 to a different profile so it doesn't get any beta apps.

Don't worry about the beta-applications being slower om AMD-CPUs.
Just now there are only 13 beta-applications awailable - and more than 85 000 of the ordinary...

For my Phenom II on Win 7 x64, they are pretty close to the same with the non-betas holding a slight edge. These beta apps must be best for Intel users

My rig is AMD Phenom II 1100T (LINUX64) and I get 3 minute difference. I think it might be OS related.

On beta WUs that take 775 seconds I get 8.8 points (1.13548 points per 100 seconds)

On regular WU that take 1,100 seconds I get 9.5 points (0.86364 points per 100 seconds)

This is from today on my i7 920 w/HT off at 4.2
edit: Win7 64 bit

I'm at 3942 x4 so right behind ya but with fewer threads. My CPU-NB is 2920 and my RAM is running at 779-8-9-8-19-27-1T Dual Channel Unganged 8GB total. I wonder if any of that is a factor

Also, I'm thinking of switching some of my other machines to Linux so they can crunch better! Which distros do you guys use?

I use Debian, but most of the others use Ubuntu.

I have 16GB memory, but very little is used for this project.

It's cooled off enough down here, maybe I'll crank my i7 back up to 4.2 for a few weeks...:ninja:

4 of my machines are now on Ubuntu x64. While the estimated time remaining is shorter for betas, non-betas are actually getting faster times in my 2 K8 machines and my K10 machine. Only the Sandy Bridge Pentium G620 is getting better results on beta. Whatever does better on beta on windows is doing better on beta in Ubuntu

I also have a couple computers I couldn't put on Ubuntu because my dad and brother use them. One is a Mac Mini 2010 which has a Core2Duo P8600 2.4GHz and that one is also better better results non-beta. My brother has a laptop with a Celeron P4600 (1st gen core based) and that one does get noticably better results with the betas.

So in summary

Better on beta: Pentium G620 (Sandy Bridge) Win7 x64, Phenom II x4 Win7 x64, Celeron P4600 (1st Gen Core) Win XP x86

Better on regular: Phenom II x4 Ubuntu x64, Athlon 64 (regular and x2) Ubuntu x64 and Win XP x86

To add to all this, there is a shortage of beta WUs for those who really are benefiting from them.

Oh yeah on my Phenom II x4, the estimated times for betas are shorter yet the regulars are finishing faster than them when I actually look at my valid results. Rudy, can you check your validated results as well and see if you're getting this discrepancy as well?

OK a little update. The Phenom II x4 gets faster times with beta in Windows 7. I really wish it didn't take so long for correlizer to load the data on its page -_-
