I am having difficulty in figuring out how to get this working. I got a Corsair Flash Voyager GS 64GB for Xmas with advertised write speeds of up to 170MB/s but the best I can get so far is 100MB/sec.
I'm not a massive fan of Windows 10 despite trying it twice so I'd like to stick with Windows 7 for now. My board has Asus AI 3 software available for download as well as USB 3.0 Boost software. I think the full AI 3 software contains the USB 3.0 boost but I can't get either to install. I've ran multiple setup.exe files from within the packages but none install. The only thing I did get to install was the setup.exe file from the USB 3.0 boost package located in folder \USB 3.0 Boost\AppSetup\UASDriver. This installed something called "Asus USB 3.0 Boost Storage Software" but this just appears to plonk some driver files in C: \Program Files\ASUS\ASUS USB 3.0 Boost Storage Driver and nothing else. I can't see any changes in device manager.
I read a guide on Toms Hardware about how to replace the "USB Mass Storage" driver with the "ASUS USB 3.0 Boost Storage Driver" but I do not have a "USB Mass Storage" in my device manager. I have attached a screenshot of my device manager.
I also tried the reghack to enable turbo mode as some kind of halfway measure but this didn't improve write performance at all.
Any help much appreciated.
