Today I just installed the 2nd CPU riser into my Dell precision T5500 work station. Everything went smoothly and I was able to see 16 processor within device manager. Now when I open task manager in windows 7 ultimate x64, I only see 8 out of the 16 cores. I have the latest BIOS from dell and also the latest chipset driver plus in BIOS I was able to see 2x xeon x5677 being detected and 12gb ram in the motherboard and 12gb ram through the 2nd CPU riser (also showed 24gb RAM) in windows 7. What can I do to make windows task manager to show 16 cores? I also did a quick cpu-z multi-core test and it's the same score as single xeon x5677.
Thanks
