How to go to go to the doctor

This is how it is where I am, naming could be different where you are. Generally you will want to see someone in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine for a checkup. Go for Internal Medicine one if you don't want to be around any kids, they only see adults. That category might not exist though where you are, internal medicine is just a specialty of Family Medicine AFAIK. Or find a Pediatrics Dr since you are such a baby.

Call a Dr, ask if they are accepting new patients, tell them you have XX insurance do they accept that, you would like a general physical, done.

Find a doctor that's accepting new patients. Make sure he/her is covered by your insurance. Make an appointment.
