I've since moved my computer to another room since i'm WFH now. I'm slightly farther and have added a few more walls between my onboard Wifi and my Fios Router. I have Fios 200 Home Internet (See slickdeals) and i the Aorus B450 Pro Wifi here: https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-10/sp#sp

I've gotten feedback that this onboard wifi is weak. Here is what their website says about the wifi only:
Wireless Communication module
  1. Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, supporting 2.4/5 GHz Dual-Band
  2. BLUETOOTH 4.2
  3. Support for 11ac wireless standard and up to 433 Mbps data rate
    * Actual data rate may vary depending on environment and equipment.
    * Intel WIFI driver only support for Win10-64bit
Rear Port
2 x SMA antenna connectors (1T1R)

Any way i can improve my speeds?

You have the wifi antenna tower with the cables plugged (screwed) into the backplate connectors? Re-orient the antenna unit on the PC, get it higher-up, like on top of a desk, not sitting on a PC, or re-orient your router's antenna.

Or get a better wifi dongle / card / etc. Those onboard wifi units are generally not the best.

I own the same mobo, but I don't use the onboard wifi, I use a USB3.0 extension cable to the top of my desk, where I have a USB3.0 powered hub, and I'm using a Comfast 910U, I think it is, it's a RealTek 8121CU, I think, chipset wifi AC 1x1 dongle, with a real antenna integrated that sticks out. Works OK for me in a smaller 2-room apt., YMMV in bigger spaces. I am also gigabit, as well as 2.5GbE-T wired. (Redundant links.)

If you don't have any bluetooth peripherals, disable bluetooth when you are not using it as it can cause wifi interference. If your router has the capability to do so, you might also manually try different wifi channels to see if one works better for you.

Larry is right about the onboard wifi - the one on my Asrock X399 Taichi barely works (constant disconnects, slow throughput) unless the router is in the same room. ASUS does sell several 1x PCIe wifi cards with standalone external antennas that connect via a cable that you can move around which helps with connections. I have the AC68 version of one of them, though it cost me like a hundred bucks a few years ago it does work well. The wifi6 AX3000 version (I think it was a PCE-AX58 or something like that) was around $70 last time I checked (it was at either Newegg or MicroCenter.com, don't remember which - was thinking about getting it for the X399 Taichi).

my home has these pre-installed ethernet jacks in each of the room 1x living room, 1x small BR, 1x Master. Never used them. Can i use any of them as Input and the other 2 as output? None are labeled as anything.

What about the other ends of the cables - do you know where they run to? You'd need to know if they are hooked to a switch or something. They probably come out in a closet or attic/basement (if you have one) somewhere. They could also terminate to an external cable box of some sort with a distribution switch.

so its been a few days and with the help of the forum and mainly Larry, i've spent $130 and risked my life in NYC to go to Microenter and bought an AX1500 router https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax10/ + AX3000 PCIE adapter https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/pci-adapter/archer-tx3000e/. I bought the mb hoping that the MB Wifi would work sufficiently; I was so NOOB!

I've also now bought another 50ft Cat 6 cable to "Center" the wifi router in my apartment

It wouldn't necessarily have saved you a trip, but ... my experience is that the FIOS routers are weak, at least the actiontek ones that they used to use in my area (and maybe still do, I dunno). I replaced a Verizon supplied actiontek with a Netgear ORBI, fully expecting to have to buy some satellites; but simply replacing the router sufficed. I used to have zero connectivity in the front bedroom, now it's full strength or close to it throughout the house.

I just recently bought that exact router to upgrade my old Asus AC1200 unit. It's significantly faster and stronger, no problems so far.
