Ethyl alcohol, the primary component of denatured alcohol, does not burn that hot. If you were hit with this, it would likely hurt like heck, but there would be no serious damage.
Of course, if he tried gasoline instead....that would be another story entirely.
Hmm....I might try making one of these, but use a 2-part system with a C02 tank instead. Best part is, the C02 will keep the fuel from burning!
