The local Kroger chain has been doing this, too. ClickList, they've named it. They've been promoting it pretty heavily with additional digital coupons for items purchased using the service. It's pretty clear they're worried about Amazon when they have store employees going around loading up shopping carts with your items and then delivering them to your car. Which is kind of ironic, considering that they now only open one or two checkout lanes during peak hours, along with up to 20 self-checkout stations. Our local Wal-Marts all do Walmart pickup. I love it.
Download app, shop, choose pickup time, have someone load groceries into car. Done.
