One way i do it, is fill up a trash big trash bag and time how fast it will fill it up. This will measure air volume between the two, so you'll be able to compare which one is more but to find out the value of that cfm, you gotta find a fan that blows up the bag in about the same time span.
This is a good suggestion but I am not sure if I can get a good estimate. What I am looking for is some kind of formula to plug in the fan size, number of blades and RPM to get the air flow estimate. I think I saw that formula posted long time ago. Your database gives me a good basis for comparison. Thanks.
I dont think you can have such a formula give you exact answers--the shape of the fan blades, their position, etc can/will make "considerable" differences in the readouts you get. (I mean...twirling flat blades around at 10000000rpm will still do basically nothing)
