I'll say it essentially how I say the years now. I say two-thousand six now and I'll say two-thousand ten later.

I'll say it essentially how I say the years now. I say two-thousand six now and I'll say two-thousand ten later.

I say "Two thousand" plus the two digit number at the end. I'd do it like that for any year with zero as the second number.

502=Five Hundred Two
7018=Seven Thousand Eighteen
10327=Ten Thousand Three Twenty Seven

Here's the kicker:
20502=Twenty Thousand Five Hundred Two

Now I say two thousand six. Later I will say twenty ten. Twenty eleven is a different story however. Sound kind of odd. I'll go by whatever sounds best. Twenty twelve through twenty ninety-nine will be all the same though.

Two thousand six is easier to say than twenty-oh-six (and nobody says twenty-oh-six besides), but twenty-ten is easier to say than two thousand ten.

I voted two thousand ten but then I realized that was wrong. Twenty Ten sounds odd at first but it is correct. We don't say one thousand nine hundred and 93. We say 19 93. Guess I'll have to get used to it.
