you know there have been numerous cases of sons and daughters coming back years later after be repremanded by their parents to totally mutilate them into a bloody corpse. just thought you "parents" would like to know. oh btw if you dont want your child to swear take him out of public school, sell your tvs, get rid of your internet, dont let your son out of the house....oh you dont want to do that? welcome to the real world where bad words exist EVERYWHERE and its inevitable that your offpsring WILL curse. just accept it and like it honey.
I think shes more overly concerned with the fact that he swore AND he lied directly to her face. As a parent myself (granted of a 2yrold and 5month old... sleep anyone?) I do not long for the day when my son lies directly to my face. I dont know what I will do. Swearing is bad enough. But LYING? I will ahve to physically restrain myself.
Its a tough decision Yeeny. I would do my best to explain to him why swearing isn't the most positive thing to do, and more importantly why lying is down right wrong. ESPECIALLY to ones parents. There are no small lies period.
Physical punishment is a hard choice. I was never physically punished, yet I knew were the lines were and more importantly WHY they were there. A 12yr old you can reason with and discuss with. Removing privledges etc is the other obvious ooptin.
Here's an idea: Maybe she shouldn't be spying on her kids in the first place.
Spying? On her 12 yr old?
Umm WTF are you 13? Thats about the only thing that can make sense for somebody to make that comment. I hardly thing she was "spying" on him. I dont recall her mentioning any concealed microphones or cameras. And regardless if she does or doesnt a parent has the OBSOULTE RIGHT to know EVERY little thing that is going on in their house, let alone with their MINOR children. Please PaperclipGod maybe you shouldnt speak of things you have NO idea about and absolutely no first hand experience.
