Hi, I reinstalled win98se again (dual boot with xp) I have downloaded the latest supported (i think it was 2005) driver from nvidia for my old fx5200 for win98se only, but the problem is the driver is in conflict with win98 so I will be trying out other older drivers from nvidia's archive.
My question is, is it ok to just install older driver or is there a way to cleanly remove the driver in conflict first then try installing other driver version, I asked this because I think video card drivers left unnecessary files in the system if you uninstall them and I know of a utility before (when the forceware was still called "detonator") named detonator destroyer which deletes all traces of nvidia graphics card driver off the system.
Is there a software like the detonator destroyer for newer version or is it still recommended for the newer forceware drivers? Thanks in advance!
