Grab Visual C++ Express from Ken's link above. From there it's simple a matter of creating your project and pressing F5 to compile and run it. Other options are using Linux (recommended for C newbies but not really necessary) or you could run the Cygwin shell in Windows which is almost like a Linux Bash shell, and you can run GCC (C compiler) from in there. But if you really don't know how to compile and run your new programs I'd recommend starting from the very first chapter of your book, which should explain this in detail.
