‘Internet Accounts’ in Mac enables you to log in to several accounts – Google, Yahoo, Microsoft Exchange, AOl, and even social networks. Once you have added the account, the operating system and the Apple-specific applications can easily access it, allowing you to sync up your mail, contacts, and calendars to that account. Here’s how to set up internet accounts in Mac OS X.
Step 1
Click ‘System Preferences’
You can access ‘System Preferences’ from either the menu on the top-left corner of the screen or the dock at the bottom of the screen. As you launch ‘System Preferences’, a pane opens up at the centre of the screen.
Step 2
Select ‘Internet Accounts’
Click on the icon of ‘Internet Accounts’ from the multiple icons displayed on the pane. A panel will open up.
Step 3
Select the ‘Account’
The ‘Internet Accounts’ panel comprises of two sections. The accounts that are already logged in are on the left and a list of accounts that can be added is on the right. Browse through the list, and select an account; for instance, ‘Twitter’. Consequently, you will be asked to log in.
Step 4
Type ‘Username’ and ‘Password’
A box will appear requesting you to sign in via two-factor authentication. Log in with your ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ and click on the ‘Next’ tab. This will open another box asking you to verify the information.
Step 5
Click ‘Sign-In’
Verify the details and click ‘Sign-In’. Your chosen account will be added and will now appear on the left part of the panel.
