I'm not able to go past boot, it won't read my w7 cd,
need help on how this.

For reference I have an asus p8p67pro mb, could it be that I didn't plug in my HD or cd rim correctly?

you have to set the boot order in your BIOS (CD-ROM first, hard drive second)

usually the DEL key will get you into your BIOS... keep pressing it as soon as you turn on your computer

make sure you save & exit after you change the boot order

I have set that but still doesn't allow me too, maybe I'm doing somethin else wrong?? Boot device led is on, indicating there might be a problem?

your cd is sata, right? there's not even way to connect iit incorrectly. i would go to bios and see if cd drive is recognized.

Yeah my CD-ROM is sata(uses sata cables). I checked bios, and two things are recognized(my HDD, and my CD-ROM), which are the only two things i have installed.

I've tried the windows cd, and it works on another computer, RED LED indicating boot device is up though.. but i can't figure out what it is..

Is there a specific sequence i'm suppose to place the sata cables onto the Mobo?

Can anyone diagram for me, One DVD CD-ROM, and One 1TB HDD 6.0G/s, Both use SATA cables

nothing specific, just make sure to connect your SATA CD-ROM to onboard SATA controller that belong to chipset.

I have the same mobo, and it booted from CD by default.

Make sure you are using the Intel 6gb connectors, they are the gray ones on that mobo. In the Bios, set the priority to the cd/dvd first, then hard drive. If this isn't working, make sure you're in advance mode, click on the boot tab, and go down to Boot Override, and select your DVD drive. This should force it to boot from that device regardless of your other settings. Sometimes you also have to hit spacebar to make it boot from CD, otherwise it may time out and try to boot from the hard drive.
