How to uninstall program when windows add/remove won't??

I got that nasty spyware cliprex program and i need to get it off my machine. Windows/control panel/add remove programs will not find it to take it off. What is another way/removal program that will take it out??

btw: adaware and spybot will not remove it either

Do you know the name of the program? Often times you can google the name and find specific instructions for removal of the program.

BTW, are you the muffinman on the GameSpot forums as well?

:Q:Qdo a registry search. then goto that key and delete it, and any others where it shows up. other way is to go back to another version of the registry. At one time i didn't know enough what to do and just reformatted...it was less time consuming.

Are you sure this is the program causing spyware?

I've only found references to Adware on it, not Spyware.

start, run, regedit, edit (at the top), find, type in what the keyword you want to find.

I'd suggest one of the non-microsoft regediters, they're a lot safer. If you have Norton System Suite it has a good one. There are shareware and freeware ones also. Almost anything is better than the Windows one to start with.

Why is non-MS registry editors any safer than the one provided by MS?
