Interesting technology - I'm amazed at the efficiency of it.

It is a religion or cult, just listen to the true goron believers (shira, is that you?) proselytizing. They already renamed it from global warming to climate change when the public caught on to the whole warming scam, I wonder what they'll call it next.

Are you always a troll who is wrong? If you research when it was originally called "climate change" - that change in the nomenclature was not made by those who support MMGW - that change was made by people attempting to cast doubt on MMGW.

Regardless of our particular stance on global warming, there are things the human populace is definitely doing to fuck up the planet.

The nitrification and acidification of the worlds ocean surface waters is no joke. Whole ecosystems that have been stable in ocean reefs are dying off, reefs are dying and dissolving at pretty alarming rates. Sewage, agricultural and storm runoff are putting millions upon million of tons of waste, nitrogen compounds, etc. into ocean waters. There are absolutely enormous masses of plastic waste floating in our oceans.

Phytoplankton algae blooms in the ocean support about half of the world's CO2 to O2 cycle and provide the basis for ocean ecosystems. Algae blooms are slowly declining as of late... whether the decline is simply stochastic variation or something more serious is not clear. But if Algae blooms really start declining hard we are going to be hurting.

So all I'm saying... we have lots of reasons to "live as green as possible" and take the most care possible to tread as lightly as possible on the earth.

A couple other things:

Google for "Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor" -- incredibly abundant and relatively safe nuclear reactor technology. This is an easy bridge for us for cheap power for the next 50-100 years until renewables truly power the planet.

Yellowstone national park and the surrounding area is basically a super volcano... we could build a network of geothermal energy plants around the outskirts of Yellowstone, and perhaps in Yellowstone itself.

Highest efficiency multijunction solar cells are over 40% now... 30% was broken a long time ago. But InGaN would be a far superior solution for high efficiency solar panels. The problem is that In and Ga are not nearly as plentiful and cheap as silicon.

Also... if plentiful green energy is freely available then we can simply sequester carbon from the air by running a molten carbonate fuel cell "in reverse"... i.e. use it as a electrochemical carbon dioxide pump to pull CO2 from the air.

He's definitely a troll, but I'm pretty sure global warming was used before "climate change", and "climate change" name was not created by those trying to cast doubt on MMGW. I remember discussion of "global warming" in the late 70's and early 80's. The term "climate change" seems more appropriate to describe the effects of global warming rather than MMGW itself IMO.
