How well will this do in gaming?

These parts will be arriving in 1 week.

I was wondering how well it would do in gaming. (TERA online especially)

MSI H61M-E33 W8
Pentium G860
Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHZ
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600mhz
WD Blue 250GB 7200rpm 16mb cache
Corsair Builder Series CX430
Rosewill case
Rosewill wireless card
samsung dvd drive

How well did I do for $400? This is my first PC build...

First off: NOTICE - PC builders, when asking for input on YOUR projects Please Tell us...

It's an UE3 engine game so 7770 GHz should be fast enough. The G860 probably won't be that great for MMORPG's but I dunno, if the game is only dual threaded then you might be fine. In any case, it's hard to do better than a G860 for a $400 PC

IMO, it would have been better if you had gotten a larger HDD. 250GB won't be enough, unless you don't plan on adding any other applications or games.

Oh, 250 is plenty enough for me. Currently on my Asus laptop i'm using only 80gb of hard drive space...

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.
We can't be expected to scour the internet on your behalf, chasing down deals in your specific country... Again, help us, help YOU.

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Note that it is usually not cost or time effective to choose your build more than a month before you actually plan to be using it.

X. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?


At the end of the day it's your money. There's only so much we can do.
