How will republicans repeal ObamaCare?

Republicans have said they will repeal and replace.

But can only repeal by replacing. Any attempt to do otherwise will be the end of the Republicans. No "ditch it now and we'll come up with something." Remember, the Reps aren't in because they are loved. It's that the Democrats weren't wanting.

They can indeed make changes. The only thing off the table is preexisting conditions. The mandate is not going away but it might be modified in some way. The remaining few thousand pages are up for grabs.

I'm sure there are plenty of changes that can happen around the edges, but the central tenets of the law are here to stay.

In fact I'm sure democrats would like nothing better than for the republicans to provide some changes. First, the bill is far from perfect and some things need changing. Second, that increases republican ownership of the law, which should work to temper the craziness around it from the republican base.

Republicans will never repeal obamacare. Had we gotten romney, we would have had romneycare and it would have been the exact same thing. It is only the most ignorant rubes amongst the population who actually think these two parties fight out of opposition to the other party's policies. Not true at all. Repeal it in the house and then in the senate get a few Democrat senators to vote for it with enough votes to override Obama veto.

After the election the incumbent democrats are going to be very scared of voting for any Obama policies. As stated the really bad shit about Obamacare is about to kick in. It's very possible Democrats would be scared to NOT repeal it.

How many dumbocrats would they need to get 2/3rds veto override? 14? Very possible.

Mitch M according to NPR has indicated with obama in office there is no point in even trying to repeal, though some things can be changed.

Having gone through some minor events with insurance myself this year I'm more convinced than ever that we need to just eradicate about 90% of the insurance industry wholesale. They have completely buggered everything about healthcare. The fact that I'm using insurance for such minor, regular, predictable things as a dental cleaning screams that the whole thing is just completely fucked.

Health Care and Insurance providers will lobby for Obama Care. The chances of Republicans (in sufficient numbers) actually going against big business instead of the public is nonexistent. At least for many years.
Similar to mandatory vehicle insurance.
