Pretty sure that the local governments didn't make the right call. And I'm not saying this as a Monday Morning QB. The Weather Channel had pretty much indicated that the storm would move onshore as at least a cat 3 storm, and also indicated that it would stall and possibly backtrack somewhat, which would lead most to conclude that a massive amount of rainfall would fall on the area. If you are a resident in an area expecting a Cat 3 storm or greater to hit, you should always get out. Local officials that haven't lived through these types of storms are often clueless about the devastation that will ensue.

To be fair, my parents lived in a nursing home and there was no 2nd floor. There was a roof, but I could not fathom how you'd get folks who are wheelchair bound or bedridden to the roof without mechanical help.Common sense.. get these peeps to the 2nd floor rather than snap a picture.. but we have great talent on the ground. Unlike those assholes, I hope everything turns out okay for those in the storms path and I hope they get adequate relief.
