Whatever makes this new job different from your current job. Tell them how your current job does not offer whatever that/those differences are.

Are you staying the same carreer field ?

Because I felt that I had reached full potential at my previous place of work, I'd like to expand my skills and explore different companies, and better my experience in the process.

Dude, he's leaving McDonalds to go to work for Carl's Jr. How is that going to expand his skillset?

I enjoy working at my current position. I've also heard many good things about your company. I've always thought it prudent to explore all options.

Does that here too.
Enron, Worldcom, Bethlehem Steel...

In Soviet Russia, job interviewer gives YOU answers.

But anyway, yes, why are you leaving your current company? You could probably just take that answer, and "proffessionalize" it.

Better advancement opportunities elsewhere.
Better education potential elsewhere.
Better pay elsewhere.
Better job quality elsewhere.
Better job quantity elsewhere.

Because they said it would make it easier to settle the harassment suit out of court.

Some man came by and touched my butt. At first I thought it was a mistake, then I noticed the buldge in his pants. Later I found out that he was having sex with a grandmother in the bathroom holding a picture of me. It turned out to be the Store Manager, so I have to leave.

I liked my job and learned alot, but I've gotten what I could from there and now it's time to start doing something a bit different. Here offers me a chance to do something new to me. It's one more chance to learn.

hi all,

To answer all questions,

1. i am staying in the same career field. (Programming)
2. I am working at a small company, my reason to leave?? People there sucks, PAY sucks (Biggest reason), no chanllenge. I got a job interview at a large company, I am sure they they will me that question..

Ok, most people suggested that to tell the interviewer that, b/c my old job does not give me good opportunity, and I want to explore and move on to next level...but would that make the interviewer think that, "umm, this guy is probably going to leave my company after 1 or 2 years b/c he kept on looking for next level...etc..etc.." I have heard that most large company want an employee to stay as long as possible (unless you get fired or laid off)....they dont like job hoppers....i am worried that if i tell them 'looking for better opportunity', that makes me look like a "potential job hopper" (althought I admit I may be one, but can't tell them that..)

any hint on that?

thanks,
tak

When you go in for a job interview, I think a good thing to ask is if they ever press charges.
