** I take no responsibility at all if you fvck up your monitor, electrocute yourself or your cat, or bring the entire world to a standstill from following these directions. All work done is undertaken in the knowledge that if you fvck it up, it's your fault **
This is how i did mine (YMMV):
Unplug, leave for a day or so
Take all screws out the back that held it together.
Layed it down on a old, clean sheet, with the glass facing down.
Took off outer casing, leaving the insides, plus the screen attached to the faschia.
Unscrewed the fashia from the internals
Turned it back the "right way up" and took the fashia off.
Cleaned it down with some soap/water and rinsed off/left to dry.
Got a couple of cans of Vinyl Dye and sprayed the casing outside.
Left to dry.
Put back together in opposite way of taking it apart.
Oh yeah, I best add "don't go poking around inside the monitor. Don't touch any circuit boards, any bare metal connectors, or anything that looks like it could kill/mame/hurt you"
