My wife's asian father did have a hard time accepting me (white guy) at first, but now we are best buds. On the other hand, my MIL had no trouble with the fact that her daughter was dating and then married outside of the chinese race.

My wife's parents are still not overly happy, but that's more to do with us eloping and then her getting pregnant this summer, than with me being white and them being Chinese.

That might piss them off alright.

It's funny, the way I finally broke the ice with her old man was when I warned him away from an investment he was going to make in a gold mining company. I took one look at the financial statements and said they would be TU in 6 months. I was off by 1 month. Obviously money was more important to him than bloodlines.
