I'm glad I live in the north, nothing crazy like that here. The biggest spider I've seen are dock spiders, and they run away from you, not after you.

argh. those things as pussies. They are not capable of 25mph, they are not capable of destroying camels, and most importantly - are not capable of insane harm to a human. They might run up to someone, but that's only because, if in the daylight, they are seeking the shadow at the side. They hate the sun, and aren't technically even a spider. It's related, in the same way ticks and scorpions are related to spiders. They are just like an ordinary desert arachnid. And aren't really all that venomous to humans.

I was cleaning my room and a smaller one of those crawled out from under my bed. I screamed and then smashed it with a nearby keyboard. I would have trapped it, but I didn't want to risk it running away. I think I saw it on top my bed once, while I was in the bed :/.
