Obviously you haven't heard his show since he moved over to Sirius because it's better than it ever has been by far.

Here is the interview in context. Read it for yourself. It doesn't sound like he is lashing out to me, but judge for yourself.

Nice way to get fans to switch to Sirius.:disgust:

Sorry if repost I searched for Howard, Stern, Howard Stern, fans,

Wow, you're incredibly intelligent and great at picking up Howard's type of comedy. I bet he'd nnnnnevvver say anything like that any other time, right?

Who would've thought that Howard Stern would say something shocking?

Is it really free? Most popular stations
have 25 minutes of commercials every hour, especially during the commute hours. On the other hand on Sirius, their music stations never have any commercials and on their talk show there is only a minimum which is needed not only to help offset the cost but also to give the host a break, especially if they are like Stern who broadcast from 5 to 6 hours a day. I'd say it's about 7 minutes an hour and a lot of times they go 2 hours without a commercial, especially if they are on a roll which they usually are.

You think his stuff from over ten years ago is better? Hmmm.

What kind of humor or what Talk Show Personality do you like?

Nope. Most stations are doing 60minutes/10commercials to combat Sat radio now. Check it out some time.

Big deal. Like Stern said, it's all business. It has nothing to do with free speech. Would you like it if someone at your job was bad mouthing you?
Hey at least it gives them material. If it weren't for Stern, them and many like them would never exist.

BTW I've seen clips of Anthony on the Stern show. The guy has a lot of talent as a comedian and is IMO is what makes the O&A show what it is. In fact I wouldn't be shocked to at least see Anthony hooking up with the Stern Network in 5 years or so even without Opie. It would make good business sense for all concerned.

Not here in Boston and in the Bay Area you can hardly find any good Rock/Alternative stations (thanks to Clear Channel)

The Stations that had Stern Syndicated when he was on Terrestrial radfio and sucking wind now. Roth in the Northeast, Rover in the Midwest and Carolla in on the West Coast have about the lowest ratings you can get.

Hmm, well let's be conservative and say I only listen to the radio on the way to work and back. That's about 45 minutes a day, 20 days a month. That's about 150 mintues of commercials on regular radio each month, or about 2.5 hours. I pay somewhere around $15 a month for Sirius. Is my listening time worth $6 per hour? I'd say so. And in any case, I listen to jazz and techno. If they have radio stations that regularly play a lot of that stuff, sign me up.

I kind of thought the same thing, but I needed a new car stereo and decided to get Sirius, just for Howard. I never listen to regular FM now, I couldn't care less about most of the music on Sirius, but between Howard, Raw Dog 104 (Uncensored stand up) and Blue Collar Comedy 103, I hardly ever listen to anything but Sirius.

Well worth 12.95, IMO.
