For me it's Fred's sound effects. They crack me up even when whatever they're doing isn't funny

What is your favorite part?

I think the essence of the show is just Howard, Robin, Fred, Gary and Artie shooting the breeze. That said, I think Richard Christy is a genius, and having him AND that wacko Sal (AND Dan the Song Parody Man) is 100 times better than having that load Stuttering John around. I have also come to believe that Artie is funnier and more entertaining than Jackie (though I didn't initially warm to Artie).

The Stern show on Sirius is just vastly more entertaining than any radio I've ever heard. The irony is that many naysayers said he would tank on satellite because he had no FCC to rebel against - the reality is that the show is livelier and funnier with a happy Howard than a bitter, angry one IMO. I am a longtime superfan, but even I tended to zone out when he would complain endlessly about FCC censorship. The show is just firing on all cylinders now, which I guess is why they cheerfully stay there until 11 or later nearly every day now. I love it!

Absolutly the show is better on SIRIUS than b4. Would rather have the funny more happy Howard than the bitter, rant about the FCC for 2 hrs Howard. The Fred sound clips are on point and the song paradies esp the now Riley Martin are hysterical. I also like the Howard TV esp seeing the bits along side listening to them the day after. And I don;t think Artie or jackie are better than one another, I think they are both funny and have different comedic styles when it comes to the show. I do miss the jackie laughs during the news segments though.

I'm about 3 months behind on the show, I'm just now listening to the March 1st show. But to answer the question, I think the roast shows are fast becoming classic. And anything dealing with Artie's and Richard's personal life is always hilarious. (that story about Artie catching a load to the chest while attending a Hollywood orgy is priceless)

The roasts are hilarious. I can't wait for the Artie one.

was way better with jackie. artie doesn't seem to bring anything to the show. half the time you don't even know he is there, at least when they were on terrestrial radio. haven't listened since he joined sirius (don't have satellite radio and really not planning on getting it)

You're in for some wacky stuff. I nearly vomited last week when they found a guy to have sex with Siobhan the transsexual, not to mention Blue Iris and Rappin' Granny on the Sybian.

I initially disliked Artie, but he throws in some priceless one-liners and has some crazy personal stories. He's been great on Sirius. Jackie was a great member of the show, but more for his personal angst than his comedy IMO. His standup is the worst - it's like Henny Youngman left out in the sun too long.

I really ought to start listening. I have heard some of the stuff he does. Is there any way to listen to some of the stuff without sattelite radio?

I think the Starmate Replay is the best all-around radio, but it doesn't have a proper docking station or boombox. I imagine eventually they'll make a sleek office-radio-type unit for the S50, but no such thing currently exists.
