Hows Winamp running on XP?

I would hate to pay out the bucks for XP and lose Winamp and all the great plugins.
Hows mp3s running?
Running 98
Hows Real Jukebox running on XP?
I will Not run it anymore on 98!

Winamp works just fine. I haven't installed RealPlayer (I don't use Jukebox), but I imagine it runs fine as well.

I concur, always good to have someone concur right? Winamp runs fine for me. And my skins.

I also do not use the Real Player, so I can't speak on that.

WinAMP is running perfectly for me under XP.

The new Windows Media Player sucks, but that is another story...

Does the window player in XP let you copy as mp3, or are they making us use their crap?

I had 16 winamps running simultaniously, all on low priority and no problems. I was trying to layer/mix some sounds, but ended up sounding horrible...but none of them crashed and all worked fine.

I have problems running winamp in a tray only. It always reduces the window to a tiny rectangle.

i had problems with the new winamp 3 beta, but thats probably not xp's fault (for once!)...winamp 2.77 works very well for me on xp.

Winamp runs good for me. No problems here.

I tried Realplayer just once and it was fine, but I never tried Realjukebox

I'm running 2.78 here on XP. Sometimes when I minimize it, it becomes a little rectangle, and I have to close it and open it again. Otherwise it works well.

I think that's how it is. Mine runs the same way, too. No worries, man...

Disable that "Read Titles On Demand" option.

Thanks for that tip! It's under the Options "tab", and set "Read Titles on: Load". Just a sidenote, though. If you're gonna make a playlist on a whole bunch of songs (in my case, I have about 2500 mp3s), it'll take a minute to load them all up. Then after that, it runs just fine.

Disable the "Read Title" options altogether and give your songs meaningful filenames.

I have a lot of live taped music in .SHN format, a losless compression, and with Winamp 2.77 on XP with the shnamp plugin, I've had winamp crash a few times listening to SHN format files. probably either the plugin's fault or corrupt/incomplete shn's or something. other than that, all is well, the vis plugins I use work fine

You can natively copy from a CD to MP3 with XP's default media player (It defaults to WMP format, but you can set to MP3). You will need to get the encoder pack to get over 56k bitrate for MP3.

If it's anything like version 2.5e, then the option for "Read Titles" on load or on demand can be turned off by unchecking either option.
