if you got your heart set on this monitor but is not in a hurry, wait. I got it from NE for $200 only a few months ago.
Was it a ShellShocker or just a regular deal like this one?
waiting for a sale on this guy:

I'm hoping to catch this guy with one of dell's 20% off coupons. $320 for a 1900x1200 IPS would be friggin sweet.
It may be 1920x1200 but this panel is TN, just giving potential buyers a heads up (I am not trying to bash TN)
I will bash TN, they suck.
I love TN's. I think they offer tremendous value for what they bring to the table. I bought my 23" Samsung 2 years ago for less than $150 shipped. Yea I can see the back lighting along the edges of the screen when I'm watching a movie, but it isn't a big deal. It's just a monitor right?
Maybe it's just me, but nearly every LCD I've seen for the last few years has an UGLY bezel and even UGLIER stand.
Crappy panel, but the aesthetic design of my old Samsung 225BW is great. Samsung and almost everyone else has made hideous displays since then, IMO.
...and an Apple Cinema display is just too damn expensive to consider.
Nice, 1920x1200, IPS (even if eIPS) and LED lighting? This might be the monitor to get to replace my Soyo Topaz S. I like them a lot, but they just put out too much heat out, plus they buzz a lot which bugs me (haha!), and this monitor has 38W typical power consumption according to specs. Sweet! Going to wait for a sale on it though.
It's just a monitor right?
exactly which Dell models are you referring to?That has nothing to do with it being a TN panel. IPS panels suffer from the same problems. Especially those cheap Dell IPS monitors with their poor quality control.
