HP 6L Prints Garbage From Network

I'm working with an HP LaserJet 6L printer that's connected locally to an NT Workstation 4.0 SP6a machine. It prints fine from this computer. If I try printing a test page from any other computer on the network, the 6L prints garbage. There are 2 Win95 machines and 1 WinXP Pro machine in the Workgroup, and they all print garage when printing to this print share. On the Win95 machines, I've tried every driver for the 6L available from HP's site and even the generic HP LaserJet driver included with Win95, but I still get garbage prints. Any suggestions?

When you shared the printer, did you share the driver as well? Make sure you are using the same driver on the NT machine and the clients (Operating sys oppropiate). What network protacals are you using? Try deleting the share and removing the clients driver. Share the driver from the NT machine for the 95 clients. Reesablish the share and try a test page.

I can't use the same drivers on the clients because the printer is being shared from an NT 4.0 machine and the clients are 2 Win95 and 1 WinXP machine, if that's what you're asking. I've never had any problems in the past just installing the driver for the print server machine, sharing the printer, and then installing a different OS driver on a client machine.

I'm using TCP/IP with static IP addresses in the 192.168.0.1-192.168.0.254 range with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 for all machines.
