LOL. I have that exact same case sitting in front of me in my office, with a Core 2 Duo inside. I can't believe they somehow have these systems built up with an Athlon chip from 2005. I personally wouldn't bother with this - they've probably been through hell. They're off-lease, not even refurbs.

The only redeeming factor of that computer is it comes with windows 7 pro and not premium so you can do a remote desktop.

Im sorry Termie, but that is a worse computer then the one in the OP1 a pathetic 2GB of ram, a 1.8Ghz Celeron processor, tiny 250GB hard drive, etc. None of these computers are worth purchasing, imo. an ancient cpu and 4GB of ram is no where near "fully loaded".

If you are in need of a cheap computer that works then this may be a good deal, but its not a good computer for a cheap price.

They would have fairly similar performance, but the Celeron, being a Sandy Bridge-based 35w CPU, would use much, much less power. And it's new. For basic computing (i.e. the $300 market), 2GB ram and 250GB HD is fine.

In an older system like one off lease, I'd be very concerned about fans and PSUs going bad in short order. The speed of the CPU, when you're spending this little money, doesn't matter much.
