How is this PDA compare to other maker in the price range?

I can't find this PDA on HP homepage, is it a super old model?

it is pretty decent, especially for the price. i think the old price on this was around $350, so it is better than say an m105 which is around this price range. if i'm not mistaken it uses windows CE or something like it rather than the palm os. it has pretty much the same capabilties, plus you get the internet readiness, color screen, and mp3 playback. it only has 16 MB of memory but even if you only put one song on there and save teh rest of teh sapce for other applications, you are still getting more than with some of the other stuff.

Call me a f00, but doesn't $200-$40 = $160? Seems to me that you're really getting the 525 and $21(ish) worth of other stuff for $160. Not sure where $140 comes into play, unless I'm overlooking something (wouldn't be the first time).

Still a good deal on a decent PDA. I have one--it isn't cutting edge.. display is limited to 256 colors, and it's not TFT, but it's a decent, bright display, and the PDA is built solidly. If you need an entry-level, Windows PDA, this is a good choice.

Staples has the Jornada 520 for $179. Use $30 off or $150 or add $21 of stuff and use $40 off $200. I just picked up the Jornada for my wife along with Turbo Tax 2001. I figured I had to buy the Turbo Tax eventually.

Some things to note. There are loads of deals on iPaqs now so you may want to do a bit of research before buying a jornada. The jornada is really slow, its OS isnt upgradeable so you cant use Pocket PC 2002, its screen is dual scan, it weighs alot and it only takes type I CF cards. The plusses about the jornada is that its metal so its pretty protected but thats all I can think of.
