I bought one of these when OfficeMax had 'em cheap. Great little printer, not much to them, but they get the job done. Very very straightforward, no frills, but no hassles.
Not having a power switch is quite annoying, I'm going to get my power meter out and see just what deep sleep really means. Note that these have an "instant on" technology so they warm up and are ready to print surprisingly fast. Right now, it's on a power strip.
Get more RAM. Do it. Really. You'll be better off in the long run, especially if you use PostScript. If you wait a few years, the RAM will probably be more expensive than now because it'll be rare/special. I did a search and for me, buy.com had Kingston 64MB RAM for the HP printers (yes, it's special, not generic PC RAM) shipped for just a hair less than $30. That was the cheapest name brand I could find -- the cheapest generic ones were $25, and $5 for name-brand RAM that I can check on their web site and be sure (compatibility guarantee) will work with this model seemed like it was worth it. Amazon has a generic for $25 shipped if you'd rather be cheaper.
