Think about how much the "repair" shops are making if they charge $100 a bang to insert something for free... hmmm.... >>
I doubt the repair shop is using this quick fix kit. There is a real repair kit out there that costs money. I have seen it on web pages and on ebay listed as a kit that is only sold to the repair shops. It costs around $30. It contains the rollers, pads etc.
HP Link
One thing I read previously before I installed this quick fix that worried me was the fact that this rubber pad is only stuck on to the plastic inside your printer. It could unglue or break at some point, then get pulled inside and jam inside the laser printer, making it cost all the more to repair.
Thats the very reason why I would prefer to have had the complete roller replaced like it should be. HP won't do it because this saves them money.
Thats also the very reason why this kit is no longer recommended for the 5L printers, due to where the pad is stuck on in them. If you check the HP knowledgbase, it gives no fix for the 5L printers.
