Exactly what I was thinking, it's a serious wtf. What is even worse is that they want you to use their crappy HP software, it's such a bunch of bullshit.Originally posted by: binister

What happened to quality control? My HP TI-85 calculator has lasted 14 years.
AND WHY DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD 29MB OF FILES FOR A 15KB DRIVER?!?!?!!?!?

Ehhh... Huh?
I need a photo quality printer. All the color laser printers I could find were more than $700.
And what do you mean "learn 2 install printer driver?" Using their installer requires you to use all of their sh!tty software. I tried installing the printer drivers myself (installing the .inf files) but that did not work. It looks like they obfuscate the driver names in order to get you to use their software for installation.
I had never had problems with previous HP printers until the last two years.
